The Trailing of the Sheep Festival is a unique, one-of-a-kind annual event that takes place each October in Sun Valley, Ketchum, and Hailey, Idaho. As a non-profit Festival, we strive to put on a world-class long weekend of events on a shoestring budget. In 2015, Flaviu graciously donated his time for two days to photograph beautiful images of the dogs, their handlers and sheep at our Championship Sheepdog Trials. This is a favorite aspect of the Festival for those participating in the Trials and for the spectators. From Flaviu’s images, he was able to capture the sheep herding dogs hard at work, as well as wonderful images of the dogs, their handlers and their sponsors. We are lucky to have him back again in 2016. No doubt, his personable demeanor, professionalism, and, ultimately, beautiful images will be a fantastic addition to our team.

We would like to thank Flaviu very much for all he did.  We were introduced to Flaviu by our friend/wedding planner, Kelley Maybo.  We appreciated his professionalism and attention to detail.  He was very proactive in meeting with us a few weeks prior to the wedding to visit various locations and plan accordingly.  On our wedding day Flavi made us feel comfortable and helped us have fun, even during the awkward couples shots!  He was great with our large wedding party and families– efficiently directing everyone so that we could get what we needed quickly in the record heat.  Flavi’s young nephew who was assisting was polite and professional beyond his years.  Following the wedding we appreciated the great communication– Flaviu would send us emails updating us on how the editing process was going and when we could expect to receive our photos, and they were delivered within the planned time-frame.  Additionally, we had a second photographer at our wedding.  Because it was a 2-day event with many locations, we thought we would spread the work.  Thank you, Flaviu, for all you did in communicating and working so well together with the other photographer who you did not know ahead of time.  We appreciated your flexibility and willingness to photograph the moments important to us.  Thanks to you, we have tons of fantastic photos that captured some great memories with our families, our friends, and each other.
